What Causes Head Ache On The Right Side Of The Head And Pain Behind The Right Ear?

After cataract surgery on my friend's right eye 5 months later he is experiencing headaches on the right side of his head & behind his right ear. His jaw hurts and he cannot open his mouth fully without pain. His right eye aches from time to time.

Could this all be related to his recent cataract surgery?

Could it be a sinus infection? He has been coughing up lots of phlem lately.

Thank you

Hello,
Yes this could be very well because of the eye . You need to consult your doctor immediately and get examined and if some problem take medicines. You need to rule out eye problem.
If the eye is normal then you can think of sinus problem. You could get done CT scan of nose and paranasal sinuses to get checked for any infection in the sinuses. If infection is present then need to take treatment antibiotics and decongestant and if surgery is required then surgery.
In doubt do reply.
