Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your sore throat can be initially viral infection but secondary bacterial infection might have occurred. In such case antibiotic therapy will be needed. I usually suggest antibiotics like Co-amoxiclav in my patients with such condition. Taking warm fluids like lemon tea and chicken soup with pepper is good. You can also take chewable vitamin C. Gargling with saline or chlorhexidine will be helpful also.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
