What Causes Hard Lump Under Ear?

I have a small hard lump under my right ear. Had u/s that showed small nodule next to lymph node. Had CT that did not show that nodule, but only showed lymph node. Went to ENT specialist in April and he said we would just watch and see what it did. Just went back and now scheduled for needle biopsy. No other symptoms. Lump does not appear to have grown.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The hard lump can be due to lymph node enlargement.
The needle biopsy is an office procedure wherein cells are aspirated using a needle, cells are spread on slide, stained with appropriate stains and examined microscopically.
This investigation will determine the origin and nature of the lesion.
Treatment will be planned after getting results of the investigation.

Thanks and take care
