What Causes Hard Lump On The Outside Of Jaw?

Hello! I recently discovered a hard lump on the outside of the lower left side of my jaw. It doesn t hurt unless I m messing with it (even then it doesn t really hurt me). It s not protruding from my face, and it s like that entire left area (from the chin along the hollowed-out portion below my teeth (where my gums are) is swollen culminating in a hard, immobile mass. I can feel it on the underside of my jaw too. It reduces in size when I brush my teeth, but when I go too long without brushing it swells again. I m just really worried because I don t know if it s something I should be worried about. I m also at college and not at home, so I don t know what I should do.

Hi, dear.
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You may have either submandibular salivary gland swelling or some submandibular lymphnode enlargement. You should go for fine needle aspiration cytology. Then you should take treatment according to your cause.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
