What Causes Hard Lump On The Back Of Head?

I have a small hard bony lump on the back of my head, not sure how long its been there. its painless to touch. I have head aches a lot but thats not a recent thing, just asking to calm my anxiety, I know its probably nothing but now that I ve found it its really frustrating me

Thanks for posting in HCM.
Hard lump in the head is indicative of 'sebeceous cyst'. It might be silent as of now, but there is always a chance that it may trouble if it gets infected. Hence it is better you can get it removed at your convenience.
You need to consult a Surgeon for its removal. It is going to be minor surgery which will be done under local anaesthesia with aseptic precautions. It will take a maximum of one week for the surgical wound to heal.
