What Causes Hard Lump Near Ear Along With Sore Throat And Neck Pain?

I have a hard non moveable lump of about 1x1cm which I believe is my preauricular lymph node by my right ear. I have had a sore throat on and off for about 3months with no other cold symptom (eg coughing, runny nose etc). My neck aches and I have some soft small swollen lymph nodes there too. I have general body aches and pains from time to time as well as what feels like hot flushes. I am 29, female, do not smoke and drink occasionally. What could this be? I am worried about the hard fixed lump....

Welcome to HCM..
the hard lump you are noticing could be a lymph node ..because of sore throat... Generlised body aches ...is signs of infection...I would like to give you a course of antibiotics and analgesics....review after 7 to 14 days ...if the nodes persist I would like to go for FNAC (fine needle aspiration cytology)... Where a sample of cells taken from node and examined.. Good luck...wish you a speedy recovery...
