What Causes Hard And Heavy Heartbeat With Slight Pain?

For the last 3 days i've been feeling my heart beat, seems kinda of hard or heavy and i am slighlty achey at times. 2 years ago I had a heart check up and it was just fine so i'm wondering if this is stress related, i have tons of it (stress) or if i should be alarmed. Seems i can feel it more when relaxed

Hi

There are many causes for hard and heavy heart beat ( Palpitations ). Some related to heart and some not related to heart.
Since you have got a heart check up 2 years back I first consider non - cardiac causes for your Palpitations .

Most common are -- Stress ( as you said to have ) , Anxiety , Fear , Sleeplessness, Fever , exertion , Low glucose , low BP , Hyper functioning of thyroid or Adrenals .

So yes you might be having all these problem exclusively due to stress but still I advise you to get some test done to rule out other causes .

Get your BP checked . Get Serum TSh , Serum Cortisol ( Morning Sample ) FBS , PPBS done and revert back with reports .

Also do some stress management like Yoga , Meditation, etc .
