What Causes Hands To Turn Black?

one of my friends hands are turning black! literally esp her fingers, doc has suggested a blood test of some sort but he said she might have genetic disease...i have known her for 6 years and this is the first time i have seen this to happen? what are the causes?

Well come to HCM
Blackening of skin of hand may not be due to the genetic but this could be due to exposure of sun or some radiation, some fix drug type of drug sensitivity could be the reason for blackening and need to be differentiated, but this is not genetic, for some clinical clue better to get done the routine blood test, if no clinical evidence is found then condition can be treated with "Hydroquinone cream" to be applied on hand, hope this information helps, have a nice day
