Hello Doctor, I am female aged 70 yrs. I am an asthmatic. Medication Symbicort, Spiriva and Prednisolone. I suffer from being dissy most of the time, have trouble walking straight sometimes. hand tremors all the time. Been told that is because of the symbicort. I have been several times to a chiropractor. I have always been a dancer with my husband, now I can t because I get too dissy. I am also taking Coversyl for mild high blood pressure. General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello dear. Symbicort contains two drugs namely budesonide and formetrol. Budesonide is a steroid where as formetrol relaxes the muscles of your airway and helps to breath properly. Steroids are given in chronic cases of asthama and also if asthama is severe. It will clear your airways of secretion and helps to breath properly. even prednisolone is also a steroid. Both these drugs can cause dizziness and tremors as a side effect. Kindly consult your doctor and see if these steroid containing medications can be stopped slowly and you can be put on non steroidal treatment like asthalin and deriphylline drugs. This may bring down your termors and dizziness
Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you.
All the best
With warm regards
