What Causes Hallucinations While Suffering From Fever?

My grandson is 3 years old. He awoke with a fever of 101. He was hallucinating that there were bugs on him and in his bed. The fever is down but he is still afraid of bugs on the floor. He seems otherwise normal, except for lethargy. Can you advise....thank you.

Thanks for query.I understand your concern.
high grade temperature some seared nerve stimuli in brain..leading to hallucinations &may be febrile conultions in small kids....
Keep your baby cool(medicines like paracetamol as per doctor's advise or by cold sponging. ..well hydrated & nourished.
Consult you doctor if it does not go inn 12 hours.
