What Causes Hair Fall In An Infant?

Hello doctor, I have 4 months old girl baby.I am from India. In our place we have practice of applying oil with little turmeric on baby body for massage. But I used the same oil for baby Head to massage. When my baby born she is having very good hair but day by day her hair is falling.now her head turns bald. I am afraid whether hair will grow again or not

Turmeric has anti inflammatory properties which is used in treating certain inflammatory conditions which helps to regrow hair that is lost by eliminating the cause of the hairfall.
However, applying it on normal skin when there is no disease will lead to hair fall/ reduce hair growth.
Please stop applying turmeric on the head . Oil massage can be continued.
If her hair doesnt start to regrow in a 3 months , please see her pediatrician.

Do not panic, it will take time to recover. Continue stimulating hair growth by massage and nutrition.
