General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

If your wife is having watery diarrhea, it might be a side effect of the antibiotics she is taking. It will be subsided once the antibiotics will stop.

To prevent diarrhea, I suggest to:
- encourage her to drink more water and other fluids (tea, juice)
- give her o.r.s. to replace the lost electrolytes
- take probiotics to normalize intestinal flora

You can discuss these options further with her doctor.

Wish her fast recovery!
