What Causes Green Coloured Stool While On Norvasc?

hello, just started taking 5mg of norvasc to control blood pressure following a successful cardiac ablation. previously was taking atenolol but doctor suggested I try Norvasc. This being second day of new drug, noticed stool to be dark green in color. Did not consume any green food in last 24 hours. Is this a result of the drug?

Hello, Thanks for the query. The drug mentioned may cause a dark clay colored stols, but green colored is mostly not reported. Usually this is one of the very tolerated antihypertensive drug. Most common side effect noticed is swelling in legs and feet. Thanks.
