Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am needing to give a stool sample to my dr. I just returned from Dhaka, Bangladesh on June 7th and while I was away 2 people in my team contracted Typhoid. My stool sample is a follow up check in to ensure I am still healthy. I gave a stool sample while I was in the country and cleared. My question is, my poop has a greeny colour to it for the past few days. Is something wrong? Is this poop ok to use for my stool sample? I am 21 years old, 5.5" around 130 lbs.
dear green colour stool most commonly due to food. green leafy vegetables, green peas may cause it. but pathological causes like infectious, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, gallbladder and liver problems. nothing to worry about it.
take care
