What Causes Green Colored Stool?

Hi i am a 22 year old male. Very active and i know your stool can become green when your dehidrated, i been drinking wwater everyday 3 times aay and now i start taking a zinc pill cause it stared to get cold outside. I was woundering why is my stool green and it has been this way for 3 days now. i feel fine.

Hi..

Do not worry..You are active and fine

A green coloured stool can occur secondary to large green in meal also..

Usually it is not pathological..

Avoid greens in your diet for a week and watch and if green stools continue may be you can take up motion complete examination.

Try to include lot of probiotics in your diet like curd . Continue drinking adequate water.

I do not think that zinc is responsible for the green stool as we are using zinc in treating diarrhoea also ,provided you are not allergic to it.
