What Causes Green Colored Stool After A Back Injury?

Dear sir maddam, I was hit on half way on the right side of my back. It took three months for the pain to go. About two months after the accident I started doing green stools. It is a year and a half now. I have had black sticky stools for three weeks about three months ago and also do pencil thin very light stools. I am still doing green stools. Thank you.

Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
Stool color is largely determined by your diet and color modification may not be a cause for concern.Having green stool, can occur due to dietary changes, such as switching to eating more of other high-chlorophyll plants. Having green stool can also occur as a result of:
-an underlying medical condition
-antibiotics
-a recent medical procedure
-a bacterial infection
Since the problem is persistent, i will suggest you see the Doctor for a stool exam and culture. It may not be related to your back injury.
You should also observe your stool color. If black, you see your Doctor for investigation as black stool (melena) signals an upper digestive hemorrhage to investigate, Iron supplements, bismuth subsalicylate.
Hope this will help
Best regards
