My nine and a half month grandaughter has been diagnosed as having glue ear and I am concerned about her flying to Sicily at the weekend. Her father is severely deaf in one ear and had glue ear as a baby and his mother is also quite deaf ............. but nothing ever seems to be said about it. If she is given a bottle to drink on take-off and landing should it be OK for her to fly do you think? She seemed to have a constant 'snuffle' during the first few months of life and she makes delightful 'happy' and 'cross' sounds but is not yet making any of the mama and dada sounds.
