What causes gagging problem in throat?

I have been having a gaging promlem in my throat lately. it feels like there is a lump in my throat and hard to keep from gaging . i have been recently diagnosed with athritis in the cervical area and wondering if that has something to do with it. I am a 43 year old male.

Hello,

Yes, cervical spondylosis sometimes causes dysphagia. Oral ulcers, infections and acid reflux may present like this. Use tablet Pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. Use cervical soft collar. Use neck support while sleeping. If symptoms not improved please consult with your ENT specialist or physician they will examine and treat you accordingly.
