What Causes Frequent Urination?

I have been peeing a lot more than normal, for about a week. I had a sore stomach for one day last Sunday. I also had burning sensation while peeing. Visited GP yesterday and she said probably urine infection, but sent sample for testing. This morning, I have burning sensation in lower tummy and burning when peeing has returned. Also, twice this morning while trying to pee, when I squeezed my penis a small thread like deposit came out. It was like a jelly substance with a red threw through it ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to health care magic

Your symptoms suggest you are probably suffering from urinary tract infection.

I advise you to get your urinanalysis and USG abdo done to rule out infection and stones if present. Also get urethral swab microscopy done for presence of any genital infection.
UTI can be managed by a course of antibiotics like cipro for 7-10 days.
Besides, maintain adequate intake of water ,minimum 8-10 glasses of water per day.It will help to protect the urinary tract mucosa
Drinking cranberry juice will help to alkalinize urine. Also can take syp, cital 10 ml in a cup of water for 3 days once in a day. This will reduce burning sensation.

Hope this information helps.
Wish you good health
