What Causes Frequent Urination?

For the past week or so, my husband has had an increase in the number of times he urinates. He goes about every 8-10mins, more often at night. He does have an increase in fluid intake due to excessive thirst. Could this possibly be a sign of diabetes?

It can be a sign of diabetes, but in the present scenario, it seems to be more suggestive of urinary tract infection. Please get a urine routine and microscopy done with fasting and post meal glucose levels.
