What Causes Frequent Urination While Suffering From Enlarged Prostate?

I am 33 years old. I suffer from frequent urination. Recently i had gone for ultrasound test of whole abdomen. As per report observation of my prostrate is size- 39×37×33 mms, vol-25 cc, borderline enlarged in size and shows normal echoes with smooth outline. The final impression is Borderline prostatomegaly . I had also done culture test of urine result states that no gram stain detected. Doctor has advised me to take Levomac (750) antibiotic for 3 weeks and Solitral capsule for 3 months. I want to know whether the medicines are fine, will it be under control and what other steps can be taken to control it. I have also mild fatty infiltration of liver for which doctor has asvised to take Urosol 300 tablet for 2 months. Regards

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.
These symptoms are suggestive of uroinfection and this is common in your age and usually is manifested with pain during urination, fever and changes in urination frequency. Also, blood traces may be present in urine which can have odour or colour change. Other common cause are urinary stones. Diagnosis is established by doing urine analysis and urinoculture and after this antibiotic treatment may be started if necessary. If there is negative urine analysis then you should do ultrasound of kidneys to check for stones.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
