What Causes Frequent Urination While On Penicillin?

So I recently took Penecilin for a bacterial infection and for the last two days I have been urinating a lot (more than 3 times) I am a type 2 diabetic with a strict diet. I have my blood sugar under good control. I have no pain in my abdomen, just a discomfort feeling and tightening. I have been drinking lots of coffee at work with some and more water at home.

Hello,

Main reason for frequent urination is invariably glycosuria (glucose in urine). This happens when blood glucose is more than 180 mg/100 ml. Secondly if there is urinary tract infection that also can lead to passage of more urine. Since exact blood glucose level is not mentioned, difficult to give exact cause. Another aspect drinking more coffee and more water also can contribute to excess urination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
