I have always had UTIs for many years brought on by intercourse. It was under control for many years and now its started again .My partner and I have gentle sex and I do all the right stuff ,drinking big glass of water before and voiding and washing afterwards.Have Cipro stashed at home and sometimes I take one.But lately everytime we have sex I get a sore bladder right away and have to get up to pee 3 or 4 times a night.I am beginning to think I have a dropped bladder or something.Any advice would be appreaciated.
Hello and welcome to HCM. Your concern is understandable. As an Urologist, let me advise you, not to take Cipro on your own. You can get resistance to the medicine, when you really need it. It would've been good to know your age and if you're on any medication. You must get urine routineand culture tests done, along with blood sugar. Get a check-up done by your doctor, who may advise an ultrasound scan of abdomen and pelvis, after examining you. According to reports, proper treatment will be advised.Drink 8-10 glasses liquids daily. Wish you well.
