What Causes Frequent Urination In A Child?

my daughter will be 8 years old on january 28, 2012. she wears a pullup to bed because she had started wetting the bed at age 5 after being dry consistently for a year and a half. when i put her wet pullup in the bathroom trash i will find ants on it. does this mean she may have sugar in her urine? she drinks excessively and urinates frequently. her eyes are not as good as they have been before. she is squinting alot. and her hands are always ice cold even in the summer.

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hi....drinking excessively and urinating excessively along with the important symptom of recent squinting is suggestive of a tumour in the brain. I suggest you consult your pediatrician immediately. She will need evaluation and an MRI if brain too.
Regards - Dr. Sumanth
