What Causes Frequent Urination And Excessive Sweating?

I have type 2 diabetes. Taking Metformin for that 3 years. I also started taking amlodipine and hydrochlorothiazide for high blood pressure about a year ago. My doc told me the blood pressure meds would cause intense feelings to urinate. I got used to that and it hasn t been all that bad for me. I had sinus/allergy problems for about a week with congestion and it moved into my chest with lots of coughing. 2 9r 3 days after I was feeling better, I noticed I started urinating more frequently with a timid urine stream, this lasted for 2 days. Right after that, I started sweating really easy and large volumes when active. More than usual. This has gone for a couple days now.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Hyperglycemia or urinary tract infection may cause excessive urination. I think you also may be suffering from benign hypertrophy of prostate may cause poor stream and frequent urination.

Sweating may be due to autonomic neuropathy or hypoglycemia or hypotension etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Using of diuretics may cause frequent urination etc.

For cough expectoration please check cardiac part that may cause above symptoms.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care.
