What Causes Frequent Urination And Burning Sensation During Urination?

Hello Dr. Rynne, Two days ago I started having to urinate more than usual. It would come on very fast and I could barely make it to the bathroom. It also burned a little but stopped when I finished. This morning I woke with aching muscles and by 2 PM I have chills and a fever of 100.1. Thank you, Andrew Gebbia YYYY@YYYY

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to urinary tract infection. Urine routine examination will be helpful to rule out this. Antibiotics therapy should be started empirically and urine should be send for culture and change antibiotic if necessary after culture report. You can take cranberry juice and barley water which will help to alkalize urine. Taking sodium citrate in water will be helpful also.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
