What Causes Frequent Urination After Tubal Ligation?

I had my tubes tied 5 years this coming November 28th. I have noticed the past two nights, I had to get up out of bed and urinate maybe 2-3 times throughout the night. Which is completely unusual to me. Also I missed my period in October. What could be causing this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Failure of tubal tie or ligation is not common so it is not likely that you are pregnant but if you wish to be certain you can do a home pregnancy test, these are accurate.

Irregular periods can be due to : (1) side effect of medication
(2)emotional stress or illness
(3)peri menopause
(4)physical illness
(5)polycystic ovarian disease
(6)thyroid disease
(7)high prolactin hormone levels

I hope this helps
