What Causes Frequent Urination After TURP Procedure?

I had a TURP 5 weeks ago. My recovery was fairy good and I could go 4 hours without urination 2 weeks after the operation. However in the last few days the need to urinate frequently has increased significantly. I am now going every hour to two hours, today even more frequently (45 minutes). It is also now mor epainful to urinate. is this normal?

Hello
If you underwent TURP for BPH, these symptoms may be the relapse of your disease. Also this could be a UTI too.
