What Causes Frequent Spasms Above The Right Eye And Behind The Eye Ball?

I have had frequent eye spasms for a few weeks now . At first, they were just above my eye on the right, near my eyebrow. They were annoying but not intrusive. Now they are behind my eyeball and sometimes affect my vision in that eye(right) . Should I be worried and what should I do?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Unilateral eye twitches are quite common and it does not do any harm. Generally it will resolve by it own even without any treatment. It is genrally caused by eye strain and sleep deprivation. No treatment is required and it will resolve by it own. You have to be cautious in case of associated symptoms like redness and visual problems. Wishing you good health.
