What Causes Frequent Fever In A Child?

My daughter is 2.7years old. Had fever 20 days back. Now Again today morning she having fever 99.3 F. We gave him mephthal P 5ml at 6 am and fever subsided for some time and again at 4 pm the fever is 99.5 F. We have given him Imol 5ml at 4...My question is why she getting frequent fever? and are these medicine have long term side effects ?

Cause of this second episode of fever in short duration could be
.New viral infection ( most probably)
.urinary tract infection
.malaria
.ear or throat infection
.heat stroke
Give lots of water to him.
Answer of your second question is that if above medicines are given in proper dose and at proper interval and for short time then they are generally safe with no long term side effects
