What Causes Frequent Diarrhea After Having Kidney Transplant?
My husband had a kidney transplant on Dec 1, 2014. He is experiencing diarrehea and his doctors are trying to figure out why. He did have c-def when in the hospital and was told to take amodium ad that worked for awhile, but in the last month he is experiencing this again. He was told that all his blood is good, that is checked every 2 wks. Is there something else that he should be doing. Also his diatician sent a list of foods to eat and I have been following this
Frequent diarrhea after having kidney transplant and having all blood works normal, indicative of irritable bowel but it should be further investigated by ultrasound and endoscopy.
You must undergo routine blood electrolytes with clinical examination of abdomen or ultrasound of abdomen.
You will require antibiotics (quinolones or cephalosporins or antiprotozoals etc.) with antiemetic, antispasmodics and with prebiotics and probiotics.
There will be a need of fluid and electrolyte balance in body along with dietary restrictions.
You must consult physician for immediate treatment.
