General & Family Physician 's  Response
hi,
welcome to healthcare magic
the most common thing accompanied with the surgery or fracture of the acetabulum is sciatic nerve injury. most of the times it is reversible.
its better to consult the same ortho surgeon who operated on your dad and talk about the physiotherapy options which may be helpful.
take care.
I find this answer helpful
