Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 10 month old daughter has food allergies and went through puncture tests at about 6 and a half months (broke out in head to toe hives with carrots and many other foods.) The allergist did not explain her reactions to me. He scored the control wheal as 3x3, whole wheat as +/-, and carrot as 2x2. He prescribed her epi pens for her carrot allergy and her new pediatrician commented that her allergy was severe after viewing her medical records yet her allergist was not very communicative which I suspect was because english wasn t his first language. What does this scoring mean?
