What Causes Folliculitis On The Scrotum?

Have folliculitis on my scrotum on 5-6 different places... its neither subduing nor growing. Small knots are developed. This is a very common problem with me during winters. Also this time, i m itching badly on my upper thighs inside... No marks on place of itching. Is this because of my genital hygiene ? Please advice me how to prevent this in future.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Poor hygiene and uncontrolled blood sugar can lead to recurrent folliculitis. As of now apply over the counter available topical antibiotics like mupirocin. If symptoms persist better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
