What Causes Focal Epilepsy While On Cortisone Injection For Sciatica?
I had a cortisone injection in s1 for sciatica, it didn t work so I had a second injection a week later in L5. The following night I was awoken by my whole left side in spasm and it lasted a few minutes. Since then I have been diagnosed with focal epilepsy. Could or would the injections have caused this? I m 56 and don t recall any head injury or any other thing that may have caused it and I ve been told it is rare to develop something like this at my age.

I really appreciate your concern, if this is the sciatica then it can be first managed with NASID and physiotherapy steroid is questionable if these fails to work then surgery is the option, but prior to this better try NSAID and physiotherapy hope this information helps. The best NSIAD is Diclofenac orally and locally
