Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I am a 39 year old female, 122 lbs. I have been getting a strange sensation in the area of my heart for the past couple of days. It feels like something brushing against my skin in a small area (maybe dime size?), kind of fluttery and only last a few seconds. It is not accompanied by pain. I do have a previous history of mvp with regurgitation and also a murmer. Should I be concerned? What could this sensation be?
It could be arrhythmia of heart as you already have a mvp. You first get one ECG done and if diagnosis is not clear, you get one holter monitoring done, so that diagnosis is clear and we can treat it accordingly. I guess you don't have upper abdominal pain, bloating, burping, or nausea.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Sagar Makode
