Hello - I had surgery for an ingrowing toe nail on June 22. All appeared to be going well except one time I noticed that I had fresh blood coming from under my toe nail. The MD checked it out - there was no pocketing under the nail and the blood was not evident. No tenderness etc., Yesterday I wore sneakers for the first time - a great relief. - as I felt that I could finally walk normally. Today I noticed pus coming from under the toe nail, followed by clear liquid and then blood. I had planned to go for a walk and so did so. I deliberately put weight on the tow - thinking that I could (1) flush the area with fresh blood and so aid the healing and (2) I could squeeze any pus that remained under the toe. Well I ve taken my sock off and it has a small blood stain. Now there is clear fluid coming out of it and it is sore after the walk and my squeezing! I don t have another appointment with my MD until Tuesday - what should I do? Diana
