the calf of my mother s leg just started to weep....she has skinny legs with no swelling right now...she has A-fib & got a pacemaker about 6 wks. ago. No diabetes. No pain at this time but legs hurt her often. Takes 4 mg. of Warfarin daily. Had by-pass surgery & non-Hodgekins lymphoma in mid 90 s...she is 84 yrs. old. Need to know why this is happening to her.
Hello Thank you for writing to us on Health care Magic. Based on your history the response to your question is as follows. 1. Need to look for any ulceration. 2. Previous edema, or present DVT blocking vein can lead to ulceration and fluid discharge from legs. 3. Will require doppler study of blood vessels to look for any thrombus. 4. Maintain the area clean and dressing is necessary. Limb elevation will reduce further fluid discharge. Meet your doctor for tests and wound dressing. Hope this is helpful to you. Do write back to me for further questions. Thank you
