What Causes Fluctuations In Blood Sugar Levels?

i m dr.sohel. age 40 yrs.sex male.i have been suffering from dm from one year.after dx. of my my diseases my blood suger was 18mlmol in fasting.then i stat insuline mixed short and long acting consulting by a consultant inof birdem in bangladesh.oh i m from dhaka bangladesh.after 2 month my blood glucose decreases around 5 in fasting period.there after i started oral hypoglycemic agent name tab amaryl 1mg .by taken this drug my blood glucose was controle.but from yesterday my blood glucose have increased.today my fasting blood glucose is 10 mlmol.random b.glucose is 14mlmol.now what can i do?m i stat insuline or taken increased power oral hypoglycemic agent and doing more exercise?would u please give ur valuable opinion?

Dear doctor sohel, hi! welcome to HCM. A fasting blood glucose of 10 and a random glucose of 14 mmol is definitely high for your age. Amaryl 1 mg is a very low dose for you. you must change it to glimeperide 2mg plus metformin 500 mg combination and make it twice a day , before breakfast and before dinner, then recheck your values after 15 days and let me know. regards!
