Hi...
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...

As per your complain it seems to be viral throat infection along with secondary bacterial infection and the symptoms are all due to infection and as the viral infection commonly subsides within a week the symptoms of cold have subsided and as you now have throat pain and ear ache it is due to infection in ear caused as there is communication between the throat and ear via Eustachian tube causing infection in ear..
Fluid accumulation in ear secondary to infection is causing reduced hearing from it..
Nothing to worry, take a course of antibiotics like Levofloxacin or Augmentin, take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen, do warm saline gargles and steam inhalations..
Ear infection will also resolve simultaneously and you can also put antibiotic ear drops in your ear..
Decongestant nasal drops can help..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
