What Causes Fibrous Stools?

Hello, over the past couple days, I've noticed that portions of my stool have been fibrous in texture. This first occurred either yesterday or the day before, and after having a bowel movement just now, it happened again. I took a closer look at a portion of it, and the one I examined had a translucent texture. Anything else in there varied in width. I'm a little concerned they could be parasitic worms, but I also have snow peas the other night (in the pod), so there's a part of me which would like to believe it's either that or mucus. I'm just wondering if you could help me confirm what this is?
