What Causes Fever With Stomach Pain & Cough?

Hi, my toddler is 30 month old. She had dry cough, stomach ache and loose stool the day before yesterday. She is normal yesterday. But last night she has dry vomit and fever 102.4 F again. No medicine took, and this morning she is back to normal. Just afraid the symptom might come back... What might be the cause and what should we do? Thank a lot!

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

This is probably a viral illness only. If she is otherwise active and playful, we need not worry. Give her paracetamol for fever when needed. Take her to a pediatrician for further evaluation if fever continues beyond 72 hours, she becomes very lethargic or not feeding well.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
