What Causes Fever, Throat Pain And Vomiting In A Child?

My 5 yr old complained of headache this morning. Later on she said her throat really hurt, slight fever. Two hours later her fever is 102 and she just vomited. She also has red spots on roof of mouth and throat. Should I take her to ER or wait and see how fever, and vomiting go?

Hello
Thanks for writing to us about your daughter's health concern.

I think she is battling with an infection.
Her fever is bit high. I would recommend you to giver her crocin(paracetamol) to down her fever.

Take her to your ER as early as you can. He might give her suitable antibiotics.
Encourage her to do gargles with lukewarm water with a pinch of salt added.

Thanks
Dr. Tripat Mehta
