What Causes Fever In The Evenings After Malaria And Typhoid Treatment?
hello sir ...my daughter had malaria vivax and diluted typhoid she has been given 7 days treatment of malaria and six days of typhoid but she gets 99 fever daily at the same time in the evenings for 3 hours and after that without medicine it becomes normal ..rest all the test are normal ..sir what can it be ?

How typhoid was diagnosed- by Widal test or blood culture? Ideal is blood culture, as Widal is often non specific. By 7th day, we expect fever to disappear in both malaria and typhoid. If it is still persisting, we have to suspect drug resistance or re consider the diagnosis. Here, blood culture will help us to decide which antibiotic is best. If I were your treating doctor, I would send a blood culture if not already, and also evaluate for other causes like tuberculosis, chronic inflammatory conditions or hematological conditions. Kindly discuss with your doctor.
