Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son is four years old. Two weeks ago he had the stomach flu but returned to his normal self within 48 hours. But this last week he has a had a fever come and go. When he is running a fever he feels awful.. he says his head really hurts (not so much his stomach but a little) but mostly his head. I was just wondering if this could be serious? I did some googling and it said it could be a disease causing this also which I know not to believe everything I read but I just wanted some input.
Stomach ache in children can be caused due to many reasons.as per the history looks like the stomach ache is mainly due to infection as the child got fever along with stomach ache.the headache is probably due to the fever .its best to visit a pediatrician as soon as possible.Never wait for things to get better on itself specially when the patient is a child. You have not mentioned if the stomach ache is before food or after food or any history of injury so likely the cause is infection.
