What Causes Fever And Delirium While Suffering From Leukemia?

My sister, 62 has ALL & has leukemia. No sibling bone marrow matched. Earlier today her dr. gave her a shot & a new drug to see if it helped kill the existing cancer cells & kill the cells before they form a complete cell. She went home watched TV, & everything was fine, but then she started talking about things to my Mother that weren t true, delirious plus she had a fever. My mother called an ambulance & her daughters are with her now. Her dr. is on vacation. My mother says that she s just rambling, pulling on her clothing & talking out of her head. The ambulance took her to the hospital, but cannot admit without a dr. approval. What do you think it could be?
