From the description you gave,it seems you have acute viral hepatitis.It can also be caused by certain medications/chemicals,but if you donot have any such history of exposure,it is probably of infectious origin caused by intake of infected food or water. If I were your treating doctor,I would recommend, -Get investigations like liver function tests,urinanalysis ,antibodies for hepA and hepE done -Antipyretic like tab paracetamol thrice a day for 3-5 days for fever. -Antacids for nausea.Maintain adequate hydration. -Small frequent meals to cover up decreased appetite.Eat soft semi solid well cooked diet which are easily digestable.Avoid high fat content and fried food,avoid alcohol intake. -Multi vitamin supplementation can be considered. -Adequate bed rest advised.
