What Causes Fever And Chills Despite Taking Tylenol And Motrin?
My husband started with chills, fever and muscle aches on Sunday. Thought it was the flu even though he had a flu shot. Took him to Emergency Room on Monday. No flu and all tests were normal. We were told it was viral and to take Tylenol and Motrin. Today symptoms are only slightly better. Should I take him back to ER?

Viral infection takes some time to recover.
Continue giving symptomatic medicine for pain and fever.
If problem persisted then he might require some blood work to know nature of his illness.
Meanwhile give him complete rest.
Give him light food and plenty of water and liquids.
Ok and take care.
