What Causes Fever And Chills Along With Body Ache?

Im age 62 male in good health had a flu shot couple months ago. This past Monday I woke up with fever extreme chills and body aches. Still have the symtoms. last week I triped crossing the road when I was running and scraped the palm of my hands on the road pavement that took layers of skin off and was bleeding. It was a week ago and I have big scabs on all the punture scrapes and it seems to be healing nicely. Have not had a tetna shot for a long time. I also started taking chantix for non smoking 8 days ago. I have not been this sick for a long time and not sure why Im so sick I have no sore throat, just slight cough. Feels like severe flu and been in bed for 3 days. Should I go see my Doctor

Yes, you should definitely consult you doctor and work up should be done as per his advise .when ever skin slough off chances of infection is increases and prophylactic antibiotics should be started.
