What Causes Fever Along With Mouth Ulcers?

My three year old daughter had a fever seizure last Friday. She was diagnosed with Strep on Monday. Now her gums are swollen, her tongue is whitish, she has bumps on the edge of her tongue, canker sores, and two sores just under her lower outer lip

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of fever along with mouth ulcers which seems to be due to recurrent aphthous ulcers and it could be due to poor oral hygiene and infection like thrush. It could be due to poor and compromised immunity of body. Usually they resolve by themselves in few days. I would suggest you to avoid spicy food and acidic drink. Do warm saline rinses and use antiseptic mouthwash like chlorhexidine and brush your teeth twice a day. If the condition do not resolve in 4-5 days then consult dentist for proper examination and to rule out other conditions . Take antiviral medications. Drink plenty of water and fluids.
